New Vents. Real Statistics.
There are multiple reasons to call BestVent for a new wall vent installation.
Durability 💪
Plastic caps crack, warp, and degrade over time when exposed to heat, UV rays, and harsh weather. A metal cap holds up far better against the elements and the constant heat expelled from your dryer, meaning it won't need to be replaced nearly as often. It's a longer-lasting solution that protects the end of your vent system year after year.
Airflow 💨
Many standard plastic caps have flimsy flaps or poorly designed openings that restrict airflow, which forces your dryer to work harder than it should. A well-designed metal cap allows hot, moist air to escape freely and efficiently, helping your dryer perform at its best and keeping drying times down.
Pests 🐦
Plastic caps are much easier for birds, rodents, and insects to damage or push through, turning your dryer vent into an entry point or nesting spot. A sturdy metal cap is far more resistant to pests forcing their way in. Blockages from nesting materials are one of the most common causes of restricted airflow and dryer fires, so a more secure termination cap is an important line of defense.
Common questions about wall vent installation
Straight answers about what the process looks like and what to expect.
What makes your wall vents different?
Our wall vents are made of Galvalume™ steel, a coated sheet steel featuring a patented alloy of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.5% silicone. It combines the long-term corrosion resistance and heat reflectivity of aluminum with the sacrificial, "self-healing" edge protection of zinc, creating an exceptionally durable material. Also, our vents use two magnets to keep the damper closed while not in use, deterring birds and other pests.
Can you install a wall vent if it's very high up?
Yes. We carry 28 foot extension ladders at every job, so unless your vent is higher than 28 feet, we can replace it.
How long does a wall vent installation take?
Usually, a wall vent install/replacement takes no longer than one hour. If the vent is high up on the second story, or if the weather is unfavorable, then it might take slightly longer.
